No, it has no speech recognition. It does not understand words, but it does move its head in response to sounds and voices, as the mood takes it. Enjoy your days out with a very curious mirumi.

mirumi is designed for ages 15 and over.

This product is not intended as a toy for young children: please avoid letting a young child use it alone, and always supervise them appropriately.

No, this product is not waterproof. Please do not handle it with wet hands or expose it to rain. If it does get damp, wipe it gently with a dry cloth and let it air-dry.

If it gets dirty, wipe it gently with a well wrung-out damp towel, then brush the fur back into shape. This product cannot be washed in water and the fur is not removable. Brushing it regularly keeps the coat soft and fluffy.

A rechargeable lithium-polymer battery. Plug a USB-A to USB-C cable into the charging port on the back of the product.

No, mirumi does not come with a mains adapter. A USB-A to USB-C cable is included. Please use a USB-A mains adapter that meets the standards in your country (recommended output: 5 V / 1 A or more).

Yes. As it contains a lithium-polymer battery, carry it in your hand luggage rather than in checked baggage.

Operating temperature: 0 to 45 °C.

Please avoid using or leaving it somewhere hot and humid or in direct sunlight, such as inside a car.

Yes. Connect it to a 5 V charger and use a current of at least 1 A.

Around 2 hours of charging gives around 8 hours of use.

No, mirumi does not use artificial intelligence.

Open mirumi’s two arms and place them around the strap of your bag. Take care: if mirumi tips over or falls onto its side, the strap can slip out from between its arms.

Leave it alone for a few minutes, then stroke it again. If the behaviour continues, please get in touch.

• Steady red: charging
• Steady green: fully charged
• Red and green flashing together 1 to 3 times: temperature error (too low or too high)

If the flashing repeats or matches none of these, please get in touch.

Press and hold to switch it on.

They are underneath mirumi’s base.

Switch it off, leave it to rest for a few hours, then switch it back on. If the behaviour continues, please get in touch.

Check which way round the arms are fitted: mirumi’s left arm goes on top, its right arm underneath.

That is the safety mechanism doing its job. Check that nothing is getting in the way of mirumi’s movement: contact with the bag strap, too tight a space, and so on. If the noise is different from the reference video, please get in touch.

Line up the notches and push the head back into place.

The arms are made of an elastic material. Following the video, open them slowly to each side. They may feel a little stiff at first, but they do open as shown in the video.

If, in a quiet place and speaking evenly from both sides, it still only reacts on one side, this may be an initial defect or a fault. Please get in touch.

Leave a few seconds, then speak to it or stroke its head and watch for a reaction.

Recommended strap diameter: around 10 to 15 mm.

If your bag strap is much thinner or thicker than that, please do not attach mirumi to it: there is a risk of it falling or breaking.
